Schedule for Streams, Podcasts and Specials

It's time to start gearing up for new content at The 1-Up Club! While we are still working on the website after accidentally wiping the page out almost completely, we are also developing new ways to commune with our friends in new and exciting ways.

We are now on both Twitch and Facebook Gaming. We will be using these channels to both stream current and retro gaming sessions as well as create some new live podcast material. The capability and potential reach or these formats is exciting. The possibilities that come with creating a fun and highly interactive community with new and old friends alike are also an incredible motivator.

Our various show styles will obviously improve over time as we learn more and more techniques and become bolder in our attempts. However, for right now, we are confident enough in our abilities to provide some fun content right out of the gate.

The key to all of this will be setting a regular schedule for shows. Because of the variety of shows we will be doing, we will be aiming for two days a week to start with.

Our Podcast Hybrid format, in which we will have both guests and streaming will be on Thursday nights at 8:30 PM US Eastern.

Our mostly pure Streaming format, which will feature either current or retro games and maybe a little of both at times, will be scheduled for Sundays at 8:30 PM US Eastern.

Once a month, on the second Sunday of the month and in lieu of the typical Streaming show, we will present a slightly different take on how the stream is done with 1-Up Pop Video Games. This particular style of stream will feature a series of facts and tidbits of knowledge related either directly or tangentially to the game being streamed. For an idea of what to expect, think VH1's Pop Up Video but for gamers.

Realistically speaking, as a parent with school age children, the schedule could change with the sports seasons and whatnot dictate. If changes are needed, they will be made. No big deal. But with weekly content that differs a bit from what else is out there, what do you have to lose? Absolutely nothing, that's what.

We'll be looking for guests for future shows, for future games and for future feature so be sure to follow us on Facebook, Discord, Twitter and Reddit (links at the top of this page). And be sure to join us each Sunday and Thursday night.

No matter what day of the week you join us, just consider it the weekend.
